Great Publicity for LJ

I'd just like to give a little note to tell you that Elfwood (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/), a community hosting over 10000 amateur Science Fiction and Fantasy art and writing galleries, recently made a few changes to the site to include contact information for a variety of messenger services... as well as a link for livejournal.

This shows the link to the user's livejournal on the actual page of each gallery.

Also worth noting is the community <lj user="elfwood"> which has been in existence for several months on livejournal. We had a little over 50 members a week ago. Since the announcement on the previously mentioned page went up a few hours ago, we have more than doubled and we continue to increase by the minute (i counted 15 new users in the last 20 minutes).

This is amazing publicity for Livejournal, and I am really glad to see the two major communities blend like this. Both are sites with similar growth rates and similar size, and both cater towards to the same individuals.

I have put detailed instructions on how to join livejournal on the community, hopefully you guys get a lot of new and interested members. =) I figured I'd break away from the busy <lj user="elfwood"> momentarily to spread the happy word. =) yay livejournal!
