Anniversary presents
I just had this idea, but I haven't fully thought out its pros and cons:
What if we give users a 1 month paid account gift as an anniversary present, on the day 1 year after using LJ last? As long as the account was still in use (posted to within the last past 2 weeks, say)
Pros:
--- recognizing their anniversary
--- they might like the paid account features and subscribe in a month for more
Cons:
--- they retain the features they setup while they had the paid account (user pics, styles, etc...) Could be a burden on the system if enough people utilize it.
*shrug*
I just though it'd be cool to recognize anniversaries.
