Getting a Mac
I've never owned a Macintosh, hardly ever touched them, and really don't like them. However --- I'm sick of getting bug reports about LiveJournal on Macs and not being able to do anything about it. I don't have any friends nearby with Macs, so debugging is basically impossible. Further, the typical people that would own a Mac in the first place usually aren't the type that could help me debug remotely.
So --- I need a Mac. Does anybody have an old one they'd be willing to donate or sell me cheap? Or should LiveJournal buy one, in the name of quality assurance, or whatnot? Hell if I'm going to buy one with my own money. *grumble grumble*
I suppose an OS X machine could be fun, though. But those are more expensive? I have no clue what Macs even cost. Give me some options. This isn't a place to start a flamewar about which operating systems are best... the point is that I need a Mac and I don't want to spend much if any money on it.
