Too much coffee makes Mega go....

Greetings one and all. I have watched all the kewl ideas popup over the last few months and I have held back because I am the sort of person who would bombard constantly with more and more ideas....so I remained quiet thinking that someone else may suggest them before I did....Now, my point to this entry is who journals can be aimed at (not really a marketing ploy, but perhaps something that if even one person uses a livejournal in a way that brings them success, that can only be beneficial right?) I was going to make this a comment, but for once I wanted what I had to say to be seen and not skipped through (as some people may do with comments).

Firstly, I wanted to commend whoever made up the idea of the comic journals. My first thought wasn't overlly positive on the whole thing, but that was because I couldn't imagine it. Now, after finally taking the time to see, I *love* it :o)

Secondly, Roshi's band journal looks great :) (Was it your idea?)

Thirdly, it is obvious that there is less limitiations than one would have thought when it comes to the uses of Livejournal. Allow me to add my own personal *bits* as further ideas...

I have said from the beginning that educational facilities would *kill* for something like Livejournal. I know at my Uni (Univeristy, college, school...whatever you call wherever you are), we have had to complete online journals in the past. Let me tell you know IT'S CRAP!. Firstly there was no space to write anything decent and be creative like adding links and other forms of html...sure you could do it, but the textbox was so small it was hard to see in a decent length entry if it was done correctly. There is no spell checker, and....no way to edit the entries to remove any errors that may have occured. I even emailed my tutor asking for him to remove the entry or fix it for me because we had no option to do so....wanna know what he said?? (ofcourse you do :P~) He said...I can delete the entire journals for you if you like, and you can start it over again....AFTER 13 WEEKS WORK!!!....have I made my point now?

Also...so far this semester I have had to do a journal for every one of my subjects. For one I am doing on LJ because I feel I will at least DO IT. The advantages for the student are the ability to have text, images, links, references, sound etc and COLOR...I think a tutor would score higher for this than 20+ pages of black text on white paper...No one really like writing journals, with LJ you get whatever you want more or less...

This moves into my final topic that I wish to bring up....

I have a 3rd LJ...yes a 3rd!! and no one really knows about it (and they wouldnt care either). You see, I am a film student and we all have to make journals, except I chose to do mine on LJ and it looks so much better than any other journal I have done in the past. I went through the entire creative process (and a slack one at that), but it shows...

There is a place on LJ for scriptwriting, playwrighting, photography (I know there is a community for that), bands, tourism, creative processes such as videogames, movies, various promotional entites...LJ could even have it's own employment section. Someone could have a LJ and someone who is looking for an employee (who perhaps alsp has an LJ) can see how someone performs and hires them. That might sound outragious...but hey....there is every possibility that someone will see my film making process and want me to work on a film...same goes for my playwrighting journal....same goes with anyone...

Okay, perhaps I am getting a little excited here, but honestly I do not care. I think it can work...
